Come walk around Roe Lake, as we look for migrating birds, check out some of the interesting mushrooms that are appearing now, and share the beauties of of autumn with like-minded people. Meet at the trailhead off Shingle Bay Road at 9:30 a.m. See our Blog for more details.

About the Event

October Nature Walk: Roe Lake 

Wednesday, October 20 starting at 9:30 in the morning

Join us as we walk the trail that goes around Roe Lake. We will take a detour to observe waterbirds that may be in the marsh to the east of the lake and will keep watch for birds in their late fall migration. In addition, we will likely see some of the interesting mushrooms that are appearing now at the start of the mushroom season.

To get to the trailhead, follow South Otter Bay Road past the National Park Office, turn left on Shingle Bay Road and continue to the parking area opposite the signs noting the start of the trail.We will meet at the trailhead off Shingle Bay Road.
