About the Event
October Nature Walk: Roe Lake
Wednesday, October 20 starting at 9:30 in the morning
Join us as we walk the trail that goes around Roe Lake. We will take a detour to observe waterbirds that may be in the marsh to the east of the lake and will keep watch for birds in their late fall migration. In addition, we will likely see some of the interesting mushrooms that are appearing now at the start of the mushroom season.
We will meet at the trailhead off Shingle Bay Road. To get to the trailhead, follow South Otter Bay Road past the National Park Office, turn left on Shingle Bay Road and continue to the parking area opposite the signs noting the start of the trail.
