About the Event

This month’s off-island trip will take us to the beautiful North Saanich Peninsula, where we’ll carpool to a series of birding “hotspots” — each offering unique opportunities to spot fall migrants and local species alike.

Depending on the weather and group size, possible stops include Coles Bay, Pat Bay, Shoal Harbour, Sidney Waterfront, Island View Beach, Martindale Flats, the Airport Lands, Lillian Hoffar Park, and Resthaven Linear Park.

Please bring snacks, drinks, sunblock, and a lunch (we’ll also make a stop where food and beverages can be purchased).

Come enjoy a day of birding, nature therapy, and connection — and discover hidden gems not far from Swartz Bay that you can revisit anytime you’re waiting for a ferry. ☺

This event is free to join, but you will cover your own transportation costs (ferry fare and etc.).
