About the Event

On Thursday September 14 we are planning a trip to visit the Rocky Point Bird Observatory at Pedder Bay on Vancouver Island.  After that we will visit Francis/King Park.

We plan to carpool and take the 7:45 ferry which arrives at Swartz Bay at 8:27 and plan to take the 6:40 ferry back to Pender.   We plan to start with an educational bird walk (flat terrain)with an RPBO educator, then visit the Pedder Bay bird banding station. Following this, we will have lunch then go to Francis/King Park.

Everyone should bring  a lunch, water, steady shoes, binoculars and learn about the local birds. Cost $10 for the RPBO tour. We will chip in for carpooling gas and ferry.
