About the Event

Christmas Bird Count for Kids grew out of the annual tradition of the world-wide Christmas Bird Count, the longest running wildlife survey and citizen science project in the the world. Decade after decade, everyday people all over Canda have bundlied up and headed out to count the wild birds in the woods, cities, farms and waterways.  Not a single year missed or cancelled in 120 years! And kids can count too.  We invite you to register be emailing penderislandcbc4kids@gmail.com to reserve your family's spot. Participation is firmly limited to 12 families as we embrace calm, kind, COVID-19 precautions to keep our community safe.  The birds are here--let's go count them. Get outside for the CBC4kids, because every kid and every bird matters.  Jill Ilsley and Julie Johnston, Pender Islands CBC4kids coordinators.
