CBC4Kids

Inspired by the well-loved, traditional Christmas Bird Count, the CBC4Kids engages new generations of young birders across North America. A fun event to learn what birds we have on Pender. Start behind Slow Coast and end at Slow Coast with hot chocolate! 

Some things to know:

Please dress for the weather! If you have binoculars, bring them!!!

Youth should be accompanied by an adult.

We are meeting  behind Slow Coast at 930 am, then going to birding locations. We hope to be able to carpool- if you do not have transport, please let us know.

Schedule:

930 -945           Welcome and Intro  behind Slow Coast

945-1000          Battle of the Beaks   

1000-1015        Divide up groups/carpool                  

1015-1030        All head out to assigned birding locations near Magic Lake(locations may be dependent on weather)

1030-1115         Bird Count

1115-1130          Return to Slow Coast

1130-1200        Hot chocolate and sharing tally on board
