About the Event

Raincoast conservation scientists present research on the decline of Southern Resident Killer Whales (SRKW). Misty MacDuffy, Salmon Program Director, will discuss the role of salmon management: how and where we fish plays a role in the decline of SRKW. Valeria Vergara, Cetacean Conservation Research Director, will then present on Sound-Centred Species in Today’s Noisy Oceans: a discussion of the challenges that sound-centred species like Killer Whales, Humpbacks and Belugas face in their increasingly noisy environment.

Admission is by donation at the door (suggested $10) – card or cash. Co-presented by Pender Ocean Defenders (POD) and Pender Islands Conservancy.
