About the Event

126th Annual Christmas Bird Count

Want to be a part of Natural History? Here’s your chance!

Join us for the 126th Annual Christmas Bird Count (CBC) on Sunday, Dec. 14, as we travel across our wonderful islands to see how many bird species we can identify and count.

We welcome everyone—young and old, experienced or newly excited—and encourage you to take advantage of our Christmas Bird Count Winter Birding Brush-up on Dec. 6 at 9 AM at Hope Bay.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about identifying and counting birds, meet other nature enthusiasts, and enjoy a hot beverage on a chilly morning.

New counters can register with Steve Dunsmuir (sdunsmuir@gmail.com). He will arrange an area for you to explore and count on December 14.
