About the Event

Our first field trip of 2023!  Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary for the day. Located in Victoria, it is a peaceful retreat for all to enjoy. Take a leisurely stroll on the easy 2.5 km boardwalk trail, surrounded by trees and the tranquil waters of the lake. Observe the diverse bird species that call the sanctuary home, including grebes, geese, and ducks.  We will help organize carpooling and depart on the 910 ferry. Bring your own lunch to eat at the sanctuary. Don't forget to dress for the weather, bring binoculars if you have them and wear appropriate footwear. Further details will be sent via email following registration.
